The golden venture origami tutorial :iconxxpo0k13x: requested.

Golden venture origami is a chinese kind of origami, in which one piles up little triangle units to make a bigger model.

In this tutorial, I won't show you how to make, for example, a swan. What I will show you are some techniques to make your own model, and of course how to fold the units. You can of course experiment with different sizes of units, and different ways to pile them up.

Have fun with it!

If you have the patience to fold a thousand cranes, this should be easy for you. If you make something, please put it on DA and give me the link! I'm very curious what you'll make!

Thanks for putting up this tutorial! I tried it and made a little six-point star and a... thing... I have no idea what it is, but my oldest daughter thought it looked neat.

That sounds great! Playing around with the units is the best thing you can do to learn.

Thanks!
I made my first one using only white paper, one piece of white paper that I colored black myself, and a tiny piece of yellow paper, just enough to make two units for the beak.
So you can still make one!
